Privacy

How The Comfort Project looks after your information. Draft for review before launch.

What we collect

Your name, email and the details you choose to share in prayer requests, stories and support applications. If you join, we also keep your persona, location and the needs you select. Donations are processed by Stripe; we store the amount and fund, never your card details.

Why we use it

  • To pray for you and respond to your requests
  • To assess and deliver Beauty for Ashes support
  • To publish stories only with your clear permission

AI services we use

To make sure urgent messages reach a person quickly, prayer requests, stories, support applications and sponsorship enquiries are checked by Jev (TypeSafe) for signs of crisis, safeguarding concerns and spam. Questions asked on our Ask a question page are answered by Praxiom (PraxiomAI) and checked by Jev first. Our staff may also ask Praxiom for a first draft of a reply, which they edit before sending. A few days after a prayer request or support application, Praxiom may draft a short check-in email; a member of staff reads and approves every one before it is sent. If you have an account, Jev and Praxiom use your profile (the groups you ticked, your age group, town, what you would like help with and, if you gave them, your own words when you joined) to suggest readings, episodes and care circles for you. You can change or clear these at any time in your profile. Email addresses, phone numbers and postcodes are removed before anything is sent, and safeguarding cases are never sent for drafting. These services act as our processors. This section is a draft for review before launch.

Who sees it

Only authorised members of our care and administration team. Every staff view of a case is recorded in an audit log. We do not sell your data.

Children

Children under 13 cannot create accounts. A parent or guardian adds them to a Family account. Teens aged 13 to 17 provide a guardian's email.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Contact hello@thecomfortproject.org.
